Salvage of hard landscaping materials, limited demolition & alterations (of RC and Brickwork elements), groundworks including steel sheet piling, underpinning, reduce level dig and installation of temporary propping.

Construction of a three storey underground concrete frame including all waterproofing & drainage systems. Reinstatement of existing hard landscaping. Including macadam, York-stone paving and granite setts.

  • Sheet piling to basement
  • Underpinning to the existing foundations. Due to the depth these underpins were constructed in three vertical stages.
  • Installation to two levels of temporary works as bulk excavation.
  • Forming new basement reinforced concrete slab/pile caps and lift pits.

  • Forming new opening between the new structure and the existing halls.
  • Reinforced concrete radius walls and columns from Basement 2 to ground floor.
  • Basement waterproofing installed to a Grade 3 specification combining a Type A & B system to BS 8103:2020.

  • Reinstatement of existing hard landscaping York stone, granite setts and macadam.
